Certified Medical Assistant
A medical assistant works in a physician's office, clinic, or other health care facility performing physician support services. A Certified Medical Assistant is one who has completed an accredited course of study and passed the Certified Medical Assistant Exam. A CMA may work in an administrative capacity (scheduling appointments, coding and filing insurance forms, using computer applications, maintaining medical records) or in a clinical capacity (taking medical histories, preparing patients for examination, performing basic laboratory tests, instructing patients about medication or special diets) or both.

Certification Testing
Successful completion of the class qualifies a student to take the certification exam administered by our accrediting agency, MedCA. The test is given at Saad's classroom facility on the final day of the six-week program, and the results are available before the students leave.
