The week before school began a few years ago, my 92-year-old father, who lived with my husband and me, fell and could no longer walk. I called Saad Healthcare and asked to speak to Mrs. Dorothy Dunning. She immediately sent a member of her staff to our house with a wheelchair and set up appointments with a physical therapist. Without the care given to him by the Saad staff, I would I have been unable to continue to teach. With the help of the therapist, my father regained the ability to walk.

My 85-year-old mother, who also lived with us, had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. As her condition worsened. we could no longer leave my patents alone at home. Once again, we were able to rely on the wonderful care of the Saad staff for their care while I was at school.

Eventually my father, and later, my mother entered into hospice care. The Saad staff fully explained their hospice services. Lisa, our Saad aide, focused on my parents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing in a caring and loving way. I was especially touched when she baked my mother a birthday cake on what proved to be her final birthday. I knew I could rely on her to provide my patents with the best of care in my absence. The nursing staff was very attentive. It helped me, knowing that I could consult with them at any time if I had questions or concerns. A social worker checked in with us on a regular basis, making sure we had all the resources we needed. The members of the Saad staff were always very accommodating when I called with questions or requests.

Saad Healthcare allowed me to care fur my patents in the comfort and familiar surroundings of our home while providing them with all the services and care they required. I will always be grateful for Saad’s help in allowing me to provide my parents with the opportunity to live out their final years with the dignity and respect they deserved.
