Veteran’s Aid and Attendance

At Saad Healthcare, we have a special place in our hearts for the veteran. We understand the needs of our aging warriors and appreciate not only their service to our country, but the unique challenges faced by these men and women of valor.

Saad Healthcare was founded over fifty years ago, by two returning veterans, John and Dorothy Saad. It is their dedication to their brethren in arms that remains as a core principle of the organization today, with third generation family still engaged in the day-to-day at Saad Healthcare.

Aid and attendance may be required for elderly veterans and they may in fact, qualify for a little known Veterans Administration pension benefit, literally called the Aid and Attendance Benefit.

The Veterans Benefit Administration, a branch of the VA, administers the benefit which provides tax-free, monthly monetary payments to certain wartime veterans with financial need, and their survivors. This special pension is a benefit available to veterans who do not have a service-connected disability resulting from their military service.

Aid and Attendance is an additional monetary amount that can be added to the VA’s  regular pension. This enhanced Aid and Attendance amount is made available to qualifying veterans who need the “aid and attendance” of another person for their routine daily living activities on a permanent basis.

Applying for the Aid and Attendance benefit can be done online but may take as much as three months to qualify and receive. You can start by finding more information about this veterans only benefit at this LINK.

So whether you need veterans care at home, or in our comfortable, state-of-the-art facility, give Saad Healthcare a call today.
